As Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 315, one of the first things you learn about managing a local is that if you stop growing, the Local will eventually die. This is a universal truth in Labor Unions.
Growth is what fuels our ability to bring more authority and strength to contract negotiations. Growth is what enables us to fund and hire the resources we need to best support our members. Growth is what increases our ability to influence local politics to co-develop legislation that assists labor-friendly businesses and entities.
Asset Growth in Local 315 represents growth in resources we can provide to our members for job protections and education.
In the past nine years, we have secured success after success, and Local 315 is in a much stronger place than it was when we took over at the end of 2013.
We have grown our assets by 70%, from $4 Million to $6.8 Million.
We hope you will consider these essential metrics when voting for the Slate you feel best represents a better future for Local 315 and its members. Our foundation as a local is solid, and with good leadership, we are poised for future success.
In Solidarity,
Don E. Garcia, Alberto Ruiz, and the entire Members First Slate
